When Should I Book My Maternity Photos?

If you're pregnant and reading this, you probably have 47 tabs open and a to-do list a mile long. I get it. Let me make one thing easy for you: the timeline for your maternity photos.

The short answer:

Book in your second trimester. Shoot between 28-34 weeks.

The long answer (because you deserve more than a drive-by):

That 28-34 week window is the sweet spot. Your belly is beautifully round and photo-ready, but you're not so far along that you're uncomfortable, swollen, or ready to be done with being pregnant. You've still got energy. You can still move. You can still enjoy being worshipped for an afternoon.

When to actually book:

Here's the thing most people don't know—you don't book when you're ready to shoot. You book way before that.

only take a limited number of maternity sessions each month. Once those spots fill, they're gone. So if you wait until 30 weeks to reach out, I might already be fully booked for your window. And neither of us wants that phone call.

The safest move? Reach out in your second trimester—around 16-20 weeks. We'll get you on the calendar, talk through your vision, and you can relax knowing it's handled.

What happens when you book:

When you're ready to move forward, I'll send over your contract and invoice. Your spot isn't secured until I receive your signed contract and non-refundable retainer. I hold dates for 48 hours, then they go to the next mama waiting.

Once you're booked, you're not just a client—you're part of my little village. I stay in touch, answer random questions, help you figure out what to wear, and get genuinely excited to meet you.
